Drifitng to Wall Street, Ground Zero and Brooklyn Bridge

Well I was quite excited about going to Wall Street!!! Just a street!! With lots of security (understandably!!) Not a sight of anyone looking remotely like Michael Douglas!

Liberty Square...

Ground Zero....A very humbling experience and a beautiful memorial park. Two waterfalls falling into the ground where the twin towers once stood. Areas around the park are still being regenerated and Freedom Tower is nearly finished. But just the thought of being there on THAT day make the emotions run riot. The noise of the planes passing over head is eerie and sombre, the construction of the waterfalls baffling and the whole experience a sad one! I paid my respects! Everyone remembers where they were that day...I was working in Mastercare warehouse before I started back to uni!!

 

Brooklyn Bridge....I love you even with your ugly fencing, graffiti and scaffolding...you are beautiful!
